Previously Maharaj Kumari Nivritti Kumari Singh Deo, hails from the Royal family of Patna Bolangir (Odisha). She is the only child of her parents, His Highness Maharaja Saheb Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Her Highness Maharani Sahiba Sangeeta Kumari Devi.
Schooling: The Convent of Jesus & Mary School, New Delhi (up till Year 9)The British School, New Delhi (GCSE- ‘O’ Levels & GCE- ‘A’ Levels) (Year 10 to 13).
College: Studied Hospitality, Finance & Revenue Management from the Glion Institute of Higher Education (G.I.H.E), Switzerland.
Work experience: While in Switzerland, Maharaj Kunwarani Sahiba was part of the Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders team which is formed for seniors to tutor their juniors in particular subjects.She interned with the Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces at the Crowne Plaza London St. James and 51 Buckingham Gate in London as a Front Office Management Trainee from June till December 2007. Maharaj Kunwarani Sahiba was also part of the Student Government in her senior year at G.I.H.E and held the post of Secretary.
She worked with the Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces as a Sales Representative from June 2010 till May 2011 and was based out of Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.At the same time, she was actively involved in politics and campaigned tirelessly, to support her parents in Bolangir, during the Municipal, Panchayat, Assembly as well as the General Elections.
Family Background : Maharaja Saheb is presently a Member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly (5th Term) from Patnagarh constituency in Bolangir district and is the Leader of the B.J.P Legislative Party in the Odisha Assembly.
He has previously held the post of Cabinet Minister of Industry & Public Enterprise (2000 – 2004) and Cabinet Minister for Urban Development & Public Enterprise (2004 – 2009) in the B.J.D & B.J.P. coalition government in Odisha. He has also held the post of State President of the B.J.P in Odisha. Kunwarani Sahiba’s mother, Maharani Sahiba has been a 3 term Member of Parliament from Bolangir district in the 12th, 13th & 14th Lok Sabha from the B. J. P. In January 2014, she married Maharaj Kumar Saheb Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur and later that year, the couple was blessed with a daughter, Bhanwar Baisa Mohlakshika Kumari Mewar of Udaipur. Currently, Kunwarani Sahiba is a Home Maker and is enjoying bringing up their daughter.
The House of Mewar has always been striving towards maintaining the age old customs, traditions and rituals. Being the daughter in law, the responsibily is immense, to ensure that these values are passed on to the next generation. Coming from the East to the West of the country, she is interested and keen to know about the new and different customs, traditions, rituals and the various colours that are associated with each festival in Mewar. Additionaly, she is keen on the history, especially in the history of the State that she comes from- Patna Bolangir (Odisha) and the State that she is married into- Mewar (Rajasthan), she enjoys travelling, reading books and keeping abreast of current affairs.
